Case Study: Influencer Marketing

Influencer marketing is an exciting prospect but can be time consuming and hard to measure. Here's a case study to show exactly how influencer marketing can make a positive impact on your business.

AsthmaSense is an app that allows you to track your own Asthma symptoms or your child's. As part of the launch plan, the clients wanted to get a lot of impressions on the product quickly so we suggested influencer marketing. More specifically, we devised a program that would connect them with mom bloggers in the US and Australia.

For this project we focused on mom bloggers with a health spin or those with children who suffered from Asthma and allergies. This type of hyper-focused targeting allowed them to feel a sense of connection to the campaign. We gave these moms access to a free download of the app and also gave them 5 codes for free downloads to use for giveaways.

The client simply had to provide product (codes for downloads in this case) and we took care of the rest.

The project included cultivating the correct list, making an introduction and selling the moms on why this app would be of interest to their audience. And last but not least, reporting on the results.

Here are the highlights from the results:

-Over 300 mom bloggers contacted

-20% response rate

-30 days posted about the product garnering the client millions of new online interactions

-A successful Twitter party with two mom bloggers, gaining over 200 follower in less than 48 hours and 5 million impressions in one night

Influencer marketing does not have to be intimidating, when done right it can provide a huge boost in awareness and be a robust traffic source.
